The Footscray Night Market returns this December for four glorious weeks! This time the Night Markets will take place in Railway Reserve, entry via corner Nicholson St and Irving St where this quiet reserve will be transformed into a bustling night market with city views.
Prepare to travel the globe every Friday night with each week’s cuisines, entertainment and music set to celebrate a different culture.
Starting in Africa with rich spice seasonings and a special program of African Artists from the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
Onto to Asia to immerse ourselves with sweet and spicy dishes whilst being entertained with Bollywood beats to Chinese Lion dances.
Then to Australia to celebrate our Indigenous heritage where we start the evening with a welcome smoking ceremony before indulging in Australian bush food flavours.
Finally to Europe to get you in the festive spirit with Christmas carols, gift stalls and a special appearance from the big man himself!

Melbourne School of Tarantella is the first school dedicated to Southern Italian traditional dances in Australia since 2011.
Born with the aim to preserve and share the rich tradition of the group of dances known as Tarantella. Tarantella is a very ancient form of dance of many different codes and symbolism that allows individual expression in a group setting.
